The recent flood in Nigeria has left about 1.3 million people displaced, and more than 200,000 homes have been destroyed. Sadly, 600 people have lost their lives. Flooding is expected to continue until the end of November.

60% of communities in Isoko South and Isoko North local government area are currently submerged in water. As in previous times of flood, loss of potable water and agricultural products will be experienced by the citizenry. There is an impending food crisis as well as an outbreak of waterborne diseases.

Health Hands Health Society was founded in 2008 by Dr Uvoh Onoriobe as a voluntary, non-profit, non-governmental, faith-based organization that is involved with the provision of free health care, health education and disaster relief in various parts of the world especially Nigeria.

We have commenced provision of food and medical services to over 1000 people camped at ICS Oleh. We are committed to supporting the camp for the next 6 weeks by which time , the flood should have receded.

Healing Hands Health Society with the help of faithful donors will be involved in rebuilding homes destroyed. We will also embark on weekly food distribution until they can find their feet again.
